Personalized Medicine in Membranous Nephropathy: Epitope spreading in MN patients, consisting of the appearance of autoantibodies directed against more than one intra-molecular domains of the podocyte antigen, is associated with a high proteinuria and a very low rate of spontaneous remission. Based on the molecular identification of these epitopes, the team developed a personalized treatment protocol (dose and treatment initiation), based on the patient’s epitope profile.
