Postdoctoral Position available
"Stress response and oncogenesis" Team
A Postdoctoral position is available starting early next year at the Institute for Research on Cancer and Aging in Nice, France. The laboratory is interested in understanding the role of DNA damage and stress-induced signalling pathways in changing cell fate in cancer and during reprogramming (Cancer Cell. 2013. 24(4):528-41; Cell Stem Cell. 2013. 12(3):298-303.)
Applicants with the relevant background in Epigenetics, Stem Cell Biology, Cancer Mouse Models or related fields are invited to apply. Successful candidates must be highly motivated, have passion for research and be able to work in an interdisciplinary environment.

"Diabetes and Aging" team
A Postdoctoral Position (funded by ANR) is available for a 1-year period with possible extension in the research team headed by Emmanuel Van Obberghen in the IRCAN (Institute for Research on Cancer and Aging of Nice) center on the Medical School Pasteur Campus of the University of Nice-Sophia-Antipolis. An integrated approach combining molecular and in vivo techniques will be applied aimed at studying the mechanisms responsible for the increased risk of diabetes in offspring of rats exposed during their pregnancy to unfavorable conditions. In addition studies on human tissues are programmed. A special focus will be on epigenetic factors including microRNAs. We are seeking a recently graduated PhD or MD/PhD with a solid background in molecular/cellular biology who is also interested in whole animal approaches and the pathophysiology of type 2 diabetes. The successful candidate is expected to integrate our research team and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
